    250 integrated head

Integrated head means that the intake manifold is cast (integrated) to the cylinder head. I beleive they started doing that sometime in the mid 70s.

Hey Pete, we don't ask silly questions here...

we just give silly answers. :D Sidewynder is definitively on it. From what i've read in the past, chevy made them from '75 thru '84. The early ones were all single barrel intakes, but they starting making them with 2 bbl setups in 78 or 79.

    coming of age

Intergrated heads are what was finally accepted in the engineering world as a cylinder head, up till then the 'head' wasnt really a part of the engine and many other options had been tried, ie the flathead, where there wasnt really a head at all, just a machined plate across the top of the block, finally after many many years and all other options had been tried the 'head' was finally given the status it was due and celebrated by the motoring manufacturers with the 'intergrated head', accepting the head or intergrating it into the family of engines and engineering, it just marks the point that heads came of age, hope this clears it up for you.;)
