I know, I know. There are no silly questions.

Coil mounting bracket on my 235 bolts to the cylinder head. Oil wicks out the threads of the bolt holes and is messing up the nice paint job the kids did on the engine. Anybody have success sealing these bolts holes up so they don't leak and what type of sealer did you use?

Teflon thread sealant and Happy Easter

Those holes are drilled righ thru the head into the pushrod area......

Whatever you do dont use silicone..... Pick up a bottle of Permatex teflon thread sealant.....white bottle with blue writing....I use this stuff on the head bold threads on the SBC race engines I build to keep coolant from getting into the crankcase side..... just a dab on the last 1/4" of threads around the bolt will be plenty or else you'll have a mess......If it does turn into a mess let it dry and then peel off the excess.....if u try tto wipe it up it just gets worse.

    Hope it works for you

    Have a good easter.....
