Just got a new speedo cable for the 62. Dude I got it from went on and on about properly lubing the end going into the back of the speedo with graphite lube. Can anyone verify this and please recommend where I can get it? Said it came in a pen-type dispenser. It is really critical??!?!?

Not very critical. I found graphite lube when helping my son when he was in Cub Scouts. There is a Boy Scouts of America store in Sacramento and they carried it for their pine-wood derby supplies. I have has that same tube in my tool box for 12 years and the only thing I've used it on is door lock key openings.

Use graphite any where you need lubercation but don't want to attract dirt. Usually you can find liquid graphite at the hardware store in the lock section. It make your locks work like new.
