Speedometer no work - 1990 surburban

Hi guys newbie here! I have a 1990 chevy surburban 4x4, my speedo meter went out. i replaced the speed sensor on tranny, same problem no work swapped out 2 other gauge clusters. still no work. anyone have anymore suggestions? note; this is the year they went to a sensor no more cable on tranny. Thanks! Jim B.
