Speedometer not working with my Muncie M20

Just swapped my 3 speed Saginaw with a 4 speed Muncie M20 everything works great but my speedometer doesnt work. Is there something wrong im doing, do i need to change the cable or maybe something wrong with tranny?

Probably a broken speedometer gear in the tranny. (I've got an M21 in mine)

I assume the speedometer worked before the tranny swap? Pull the cable off the tranny and hook an electric drill up to it and see if it still works.

It also seems like the cap screws in all the way into the tranny but the cable still feels loose. But thanks I will check the gear.
