    hey
just bought new eaton front leaf springs..
stock for my 1953 1/2 ton.
got them on. went to grease the front lower shakle.

grease came ot easy but not at location i expected. came out on top of spring not the ends of bushing.

pulled one spring off and inspected bushing.. the busing has a machined hole centered in bushing.. letting grease out center of bushing. and escapes out on top of spring.

looking at the original springs bushing.. it does not have this hole.

looking at the extra bushings i have from my shakle kit.. they do not have this hole.

I think with this hole, the grease likly will not get the full length of bushing and shakle pin..

anyone know why these would have this hole?
