spring bushings are to blame

    while taking out more leafs from the rear of my one ton I found the bushings are completely shot. as suggested to me, this could be my issue with steering like an wild boar on crack. now the hard part - pulling everything apart after 60 years of abuse as a grain truck.

    Spring Bushings

    You'll be pleased to discover they're standardized parts and any competent Spring Shop can get them got you .

    The old ones can be pressed out by using All Thread and some appropriately sized sockets....
