I have a 1969 chevy c-10 350cid turbo 400 trans. My problem is that the starter bolt hole on the outside rear of the block is broke off. Is there a three hole starter that will work with this setup.
I am assuming that a peice of the block broke off. You need to get it welded back on. If the bolt itself broke off then drill it out and tap it.
If you dont feel comfortable trying to remedy this problem yourself bring what you have to the machineshop and they can probably help you out. Sometimes you can weld something to the end of the broken bolt if there is still some sticking out to help turn whats left of it. Just another tip...... anytime I am working on an older vehicle i spray down the bolts with PB blaster penetrating lubricant that stuff is a true miracle working liquid. Good luck.
