URGENT Ok men & women. My truck won’t start. I just bought this beautiful 1959 Apache step side w/ a 235 Thrift master w/3spd. I am at my wits end with this. I bought it thinking it was a timing issue but it seem to be a wrong assumption. I have put a new fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel lines, carb, Cap, rotor, plug, and wires. The compression test was great, and still the SOB won’t start! SNIFF, SNIFF. Now I am leaning toward the starter being THE PROBLEM since it is a pedal starter and I have NO experience with it. Can someone pass on to me THE PROPER wiring configuration from ignition/battery/distributor/coil etc? So I can cross that off my list? I DO have a new ignition switch w/keys, starter, and an Ignition Resistor, ordered and on the way. Will these parts awaken my beast of burden? :'(
RE: STARTER ISSUES! WON'T START HE Your new parts may help matters a bit. It sounds like a starter issue. If you have access to a fax machine, e-mail me the number and I will send you a wiring diagram I have. E-mail is kg6ptf@yahoo.com Mike
