I'm looking for the STEEL fuel tank skid plate(s). They are part of RPO NY1 and attach to the tank brackets and to the frame in 2 spots via drop brackets. They measure approximately 41" long (46.5" including curved portion) x 13" wide x 1/8" thick.
I think these were only on 4x4 a good place to try to look for these is the arm trucks 73-87 1-1\4 Ton trucks these would all have them.
Yes, they were a 4x4 only option. Forgot to mention that. Thanks for the suggestion. I will have to look into it more but aren't most military trucks long wheelbases? I'm looking for short wheelbase plates.
My 77 Short fleet 2 wheel drive has that steel plate over the gas tank but it was owned by the Navy in California. Currently its not installed on the truck but I'm keeping it for later.
I heard that some LWB trucks had the short gas tank so you might luck in to one on them still . Good luck on your seach
