Hey guys , I forgot the GM part # for the steering box oil seal...

I know it's posted here somewheres but it'll take me forever to find it , I know it fits a 1970 Chevy C-10 pickup with manual steering...

    Please help ! .

That would be 7801626. Last time (5 years ago) I tried to find one at GM there were only 2 dealers in Texas that stocked it. $14 a pop.

Federal-Mogul (National Seal) part # 313842 was available in the local warehouse for my FLAPS, was delivered that afternoon and cost $6.49. This is a "rubber" seal, not like the felt seal I removed from the steering box. The GM part is also a "rubber" seal.

    Seal Part Number

There is also the Federal Mogul number - 313842. My local GM dealer wanted $24 for the 7801626 part number last month . I don't have a price for the Federal Mogul one.

    Dealer Prices

Tend to float all over the place

it's best to have the P/N written down and call every GM dealer around for thier price , be SURE to get the name of who you speak to , just in case they try to change up and charge you full list price when you go in to order it .
