I have a 1979 C10 that i'm building into a street rod. after a new set of tires, alignment and an inspection of the suspension, i have come to the conclusion that the gearbox has gone bad. When driving, the steering does not return to center. The truck will stay in a curve when you put it there. What i want to do is adapt a fast ratio saginaw box to throw in there. are the truck boxes different from the saginaw? will they bolt in? My understanding is that some cmaros around that year had a 13:1 box. i've located some 12:1, Any info on a good place to purchase? the cheapest price i've found is about $350..
