Does anyone know if the steering knuckle and spindle are two separate parts on an 83 c10 305? I was putting on new brake rotors and found out that the ones that were on there were mismatched. different rotors and bearings. I found this out when I purchased two new identical rotors. The passenger side went on in just a few minutes. After struggling with the drivers side, I went back and compared the old ones and they were definitely mismatched. Now I replaced the ball joints and the old ones were definitely stock (had to remove rivets) So I'm assuming the original knuckles. So my only conclusion is that the drivers side spindle was replaced at one point in time. Is this possible?

    Thanks

They look like they could be seperate parts (from looking on the back of the knuckle), but I've never seen a 2wd spindle or knuckle sold seperately. It seems more likely that your entire drivers side knuckle/spindle assembly was replaced without having the ball joints replaced.
