My OEM steering wheel had several severe cracks (gaps). I know this is common. I ordered a repair kit from a reputable Chevrolet/GMC after-market company and repaired it. Since life seems to get in the way of big projects like this, the steering wheel was done about 8 years ago. A couple of months ago I started driving the truck and noticing the paint cracking. It "looks like" the steering wheel is expanding and contracting enough to make the paint break loose from the steering wheel. Is that what's happening? The truck is only in the sun while I am driving and always stored indoors.
I was hoping to find someone who had a similar problem and could tell what they did to fix it?
