i'm in the process of buying new gagues. i have the originals, all 6 volt. if i buy the refurbished 12 volters and spedo how do i compensate for my 700 r transmission and new tire size. i remember in the old days you would write down how far you traveled on a 5 mile road and somebody would make a special gear that would adjust you spedo cable speed. or should i toss it all and get some dolphin gagues???

Any _real_ speedo shop will have a box full of different tranny drive gears for you , they'll be color coded and he'll set you up right in 20 minutes .

-OR- you can be a cheapskate like , uh well anyway ~ go to Pick-A-Part and collect all the different once you can find and try 'em out untill your speedo reads correctly...

    Speedo Shop

North Hollywood Speedometer , on No. Lankershiem Blvd. ~ they do it all .

They're VDO specialists too ~ they make up vintage look gauges for most any
vehicle that look stock but are not .
