Anyone have a picture of a front sway bar installed on a 49 (50 or 51) pickup that could be posted. Thanks.

How soon do you need it? I can get one, but the '51 is at the farm and it may be a couple of weeks before I get it home.

I have some pics of an original 49 panel truck sway bar installation.

There are 2 styles of original sway bars for the AD trucks. The first one shown is the earlier style and better fits the lever shock trucks? It has the end link mounts at the leaf springs. The later style just shown has the end links that clamp around the front axle.

    Springs shot?

What makes you say that, Nate? I've put many miles on the truck over the last (almost) 20 years and have never noticed anything out of the ordinary.

Because they're flat ~ leaf springs are supposed to be arched .

:) Not to be argumentative, but... Check out 4WD brand "F" F-250 and F-350's, at least up through 1997. They have a solid front axle with leaf springs that are either flat, or reverse curved.

As long as it isn't sagging or unstable, I'm not in a financial position to worry about it. :(

As long as it doesn't bottom out , you're good to go .
