was thinking of putting a sway bar in my 65 c10 is it possible to put in , host only lists for 73-91. have a scrap 89 silverado is the front or rear stabilizer usable, how much work. 65 c10 frame off resto 411 rear 700 r4 tranny 2500 stall 410 hp 350
Since a 73-87 front suspension will basically bolt in to a 65, there shouldn't be any problem bolting the same 73-87 sway bar up to the 65 suspension. The following (ugly) pic shows the stock 1975 setup. When installing this in my 1960, I simply drilled the frame to attach the bushing brackets and bolted it up. I don't know if an 89 will fit. It may be a different shape. The rear bar may be more problematic depending on if the suspension styles are similar. Coil springs/trailing arms or leaf springs, and I'm not sure what an 89 has.
