sway bar

    was thinking of putting a sway bar in my 65 c10 is it possible to put in , host only lists for 73-91. have a scrap 89 silverado is the front or rear stabilizer usable, how much work.
    65 c10 frame off resto
    411 rear
    700 r4 tranny
    2500 stall
    410 hp 350

    ECE sells one for the 60 to 66, inch and an eight for the front, one inch for the rear.

    Since a 73-87 front suspension will basically bolt in to a 65, there shouldn't be any problem bolting the same 73-87 sway bar up to the 65 suspension. The following (ugly) pic shows the stock 1975 setup. When installing this in my 1960, I simply drilled the frame to attach the bushing brackets and bolted it up.

    I don't know if an 89 will fit. It may be a different shape.

    The rear bar may be more problematic depending on if the suspension styles are similar. Coil springs/trailing arms or leaf springs, and I'm not sure what an 89 has.
