Running heidts ifs on my 53. The sway bar is mandatory to get reasonable handling out of the truck. Particulary since the drivetrain has been upgraded to travel at modern speeds. Since it will go 75, it needs to handle like it.

Steering precision disappears without it and body roll is pretty bad. FWIW, it's a little different with leaf springs as they have some internal resistance that coils don't.

I added the sway bar to my original leaf spring front end, and it makes a big difference in handling. Well worth the price, I think.

Thanks! First time ever doing something like this.

If I recall correctly I got it from our host: Sway Bar
