Well the frame shops around here wouldn't touch it!! Talk about piss a person off!! Anyway I found a good 61 4x4 frame from a guy in Colorado who sells 60-66 truck parts. He is a real good guy bought from him in the past, Very good to deal with!!! I'll post some pics of the progress on my truck when I get different stages done.
I hope everything works out for you on the other 61 4x4 frame.Thats lot work changing over to other frame.Talked to John(66 convertible)while ago he said he didnt know if you want to drive that far but he said he could fix your frame,dont know what he would charge but its another opion later on if you wanted your other one repaired correctly. Ive seen hes work first hand and its really good.
It is alot of work, all I have left on my old frame is the cab and suspension. I'm going to wait till I get the other frame here and painted before I take my cab off. I'll post pics as I go.
Wish I lived closer that way me and Matt could give you a helping hand,it took 4 of us guys to left Matts old 66 cab off the frame when we had it shortened it was really heavy.If a guy had a forklift that would be a easier route to go.
