Has anyone ordered the sun visor brackets from CP? If so did it come with a template to find the holes behind the headliner?

Larry, all AD cabs were pre-drilled on both sides for inside visors. If you already have the driver's side on and want to hang the pass. side, take a couple of measurements on the driver's side, reverse them on the other side and you're there. If you're trying to figure out both, it's a little tougher. The least harmful way is to take a straight pin and gently push it through the headliner until you get the general idea of where they should attach. You can feel the difference, trust me. Once you've located the holes, a sharp ice pick works wonders.

Thanks Ken. I tried that with the rear view mirror. That is why I am waiting on a new head liner. LOL as they say. I also found that the headliner does not fit tight to were the mirror attaches. This caused it to wrinkle at the place were the headliner meets the wind shield once I got the screws to reach the holes. I wet the back of the head liner but it did not want to cooperate. Hopefully I will only need this second try to get it done.

    Cardboard Headliner Fittment

    ....is a serious PIA .

To prvent wrinkles you take a spray bottle and fill it with tepid water and mist the cardboard to make it more flexible .

How do you know when to stop wetting it ? that's the $64.00 question ! .

Good luck , at least they used to be cheap , my truck has a professionally fitted cloth headliner , not orig. but it makes the cab _very_ quiet and
    that's what I want .
