After 5 years of sweat and a pile of cash, my truck has been drivable for the past 4 years. It isn't driven dailey, usually on the weekend. My truck gets a lot of attention as I am sure yours does too. Some of the comments and actions of others range from curious to crazy. I would like to hear about your encounters, here are some of mine. Heard in traffic; nice truck, what year is it, screams, yells, horns blowing. Seen in traffic, thumbs up, people hanging out of windows and waving, people driving way too close. Sometimes it is entered in a car show, comments there vary a lot. Several people say someone in their family had one, some learned to drive in one, some crashed in one.
Today I drove through a drive thru and at the pick up window the gal said, nice piece. I assume she meant the truck.
Please add your experiences to this.

    My 2 favorites are:

1.0 Cool truck Mister (A young fella, probably about 8 years old, hollering from the curb)
2.0 Is that a Jaguar? (A Papa John's delivery driver. he mistook the "Ford Greyhound" on my Model T Pickup grille for a Jaguar hood ornament)

    350 with a 3 bolt main

My truck has a 350 under the hood. A guy at a car show asked me if it had a 2 bolt main or a 3 bolt main. I told him I knew of a 2 bolt and a four bolt but had never heard of a 3 bolt and asked him to elaborate on the subject. He replied that he should know because he had worked for chevy for many years. This fellow was sincere in his belief. He did not smell of alcohol. he could stand up straight without weaving around, his eyes looked normal, he did nor slur his words. Car owner next to me heard the conversation and he happened to be a retired mechanic, he was grinning a lot. We agreed you meet all kinds of people during your life. We did conclude that if you had a 4 bolt main cap and one bolt fell out it would become a 3 bolt main. Anyway, the incident makes a good story. Gerald in Florida
