I've read several posts about the first time you guys started your engine after rebuild----I gota tell ya, I'm dancin an Irish jig. A couple brews may slow me down a little but I'm on cloud nine right now. He, Mater, hit the first time:D---well, after I had to work on the fuel pump first (check valves were stuck from sitting). I must have got lucky with the timing, it didn't even try to backfire after revup.

Still a long way to go but man, what a milestone!!! Thanks for all the input that got me this far. Now on to body work:eek:

Good to hear you are moving forward. Those engines do sound so good when fired up.

I'm happy for you. I can't wait until I can place my gasket order so I can seal up my 228.
    First things first...:(
