Like the old saying about missing the obvious, "can't see the forest because of all the trees being in the way". Does anyone else have those "Duh" (or "Doh" from Homer) moments when the obvious obscurs the solution? I have been fighting aligning the front sheet metal on a 34 thinking "if I just had the measurements" it would go much easier. The owner of my nemesis has a SECOND identical one sitting in his garage while I'm googleling all over the place for information. Oh well, it's not as bad as cussing the microwave for 25 years because the hot coffee cup handle ALWAYS ends up facing away only to have the BW walk over and add two seconds to my normal setting so it's facing out. And this is from a person that has made thousands of parts on machines with various automatic feed settings. I hate those darn trees.

I had one of those experiences 2 days ago! I started another project in the back yard that required either needle nosed pliers or small tin snips (something that could remove 3/8" staples from semi-rotten wood.) I spent 2 1/2 hours looking for my needle nosed pliers and/or tin snips to no avail, so I settled for vise-grips and a modified screwdriver ground down to gouge under the staples. You guys know the drill. Long story short, I suffered through the project, using tools that weren't designed for the task, cussing and swearing that I would find, organize, use (in the future) the right tool for the right job.

Came in here tonight to check out the forum, stumped my toe on a soft-side Craftsmen tool pouch, and lo and behold, what did I discover? A bloody toe:mad: and my pliers, a set of "EZ" outs, a hammer and the satisfaction of knowing that I'm not alone in this world.

    Thanks Evan!

Hey Evan, Don't you know that is what the BW is for? Just to point out all the stupid things in life that we do? Make a COUPLE OF POINTS BY KISSING HER ON THE CHEEK AND THANKING HER FOR STRAIGHTENING YOU OUT!

    Priceless!

Evan, I've been meaning to tell you how much I loved this! I about fell out of my chair when I read it! As a result, I (now) always add two seconds to my coffee cooking time. :p
