Throttle Body Injection (454 ci)

Hello:
I recently purchaced a 1987 RV3500 GMC Sierra Crew Cab Dually & do not have any experience with the TBI system.

The engine performs OK on initial acceleration but bogs-down on heavy throttle. Also the induction system roars like a wounded Lion. Is it possible that the Engine control module is defective or do we have a problem with the TBI System ??

I would appreciate any assistance you may offer regarding this situation.

You will need to have someone hook it up to scan tool and check the codes.Its hard to say what could be wrong.If its bogging then the TPS could be out of adjustment,but who knows.Have a shop check it out for you.I'm sure that it's something simple.
