Iv'e got a 55 first series pick-up with a 235 ci motor. Reading the manual it says to time engine with pointer at the flywheel BB. Well when I do that the truck runs but lacks power. The manual doesn't mention disconnecting vacuum at distributer like I would expect. The truck runs best with timing about 1/2 inch south of the timing mark. Am I missing something?
