i have a 1986 chevy custom deluxe k20 when its cold it does not want to go in reverse but once she gets good and warm she will do in reverce fine my question is it the tranny going out or is that normal

that is not normal, fluid may be gunky, may not letting fluid through all the little valves, change fluid and filter and see if it makes a difference, also when you pull down the pan see if it has alot of bearing shavings if so time to rebuild or a new tranny.
