What is the significance of the date, Saturday, June 28, 1947?

This is a stab in the dark, but I'm going to say that it was the date that the 1st 1947 second series Advance Design truck rolled off of the assembly line.

Close enough, Ken. It was the day that the dealers had their big reveal of the new Advanced Design.
I had my money on you.
I think we should have a virtual celebration or something on that day.

    Silly boy!

I knew that, but when abducted by aliens in the '60's, they swore me to secrecy! Nan nu nan nu!;)

P.S. And you're one to talk, Mr. "That's a '55 because of the straight window posts":D

Do you think there is a connection between the flying discs and the AD trucks? I mean, look at the facts. They were unlike anything before and they have endured longer than most things made by humans. I think this needs further investigation.
We need to call in someone with an imagination. Someone with a willing suspension of disbelief. Someone who has, on occasion, been a huge BS'er. So, how about it Zig? Are you game?:D

It was a '56 because of the straight posts, not a '55.

For those of you who weren't around for the conversation, we were speaking about P-cup trucks made by that company from Dearborn.

    Brand 'F' Pee-Cups

Old Chi-Town Joe , who works in my shop , has a ....'54 (IIRC) brand 'F' Pee-Cup , it's a total Hot Rod he built by hand and it's AWSOME (for one of those ya know) but , oddly enough it has a cehvrolet engine in it...... :D

Me , I'd left the OHV InLine 6-Banger & 3 On The Tree

Joe has always been a F--d man although he's had and loved , plenty of GM products . he has perhaps the cleanest unrestored '71 Caddy Eldorado I've ever seen .
