turn signals problem

i have a 55 first series and im trying to get the turnsignals to work i put a new switch in and folled the wiring diagram from CP as best as i could but i couldnt figure out what all connects to the flasher part 55-561 beacause i cant find the pink and black wire it says to attatch on it, does any one know what those wires come from or where they are or maybe a website to go to... also when just trying to see if it would work with out those wires with the tail and park lights on id press the brake and the tail lights would shut off and if i turn on the turn signals the tail lights would shut off all are double contact.....any suggestions??

 

Is this a stock 6 wire turn signal switch? If so, this is how it is wired in a 55.2 thru 59 Chevy/GMC truck. Your wire colors may vary.
