I got a quote on the hood safety latch spring today and it might be too pricey. The quote is $15.40@ for a run of 50 springs or $12.75@ for 100. The estimate was free so I'm not out any. I'm hoping someone in the parts supply business will jump on this. Since the factory spring lasted the better part of 50 years I'd give $20 for one as needed but don't want to stock a number and wait on buyers. I'm hoping Mark Jansen, Jim Carter, Long, or one of the suppliers will act on this or if there is enough demand I'll pay for a run but would not want to stay in the parts business since I have reached my "son-of-a-gun I forgot that" limit in my present madhouse.
