Hey fella's I have been trying to upload a few photos of my truck showing my progress however I have been having troubles. The forum says the photos have to be 100kb or less... I have been trying to shrink the size of my photo without any luck. how are you guys posting these nice big photos in your text?
Hey, at least I have a picture of my truck with my posts now. This picture is my truck as it sits right now. I bought it 8 weeks ago from Texas. With help of some close buddies we were able to rodstore my truck in 5 weeks and was able to drive it in my wedding two weeks ago!!! the truck was very rough when we started and needed all new brakes, total engine tune up, new tires, glass, paint, exhaust, seat etc. we worked around the clock and sanded the whole truck down, base cleared the interior, fixed a couple holes, put the interior back together with a few new parts including seat from early 90's chev pick up, and belts for safety. then the exterior paint started with primer black (yes its staying that way!) got the engine tuned, new exhaust, wheels (sanded and painted 80's 4x4 rallies) then we put all new glass in and got it running and safetied just in time for my wedding. Morning of my wedding with only one test drive I woke up to a garage floor covered in green engine coolant... with a new frost plug and top up we made it through the day. The old 292 ran great! Thanks for all your help with info along the way. Now the winter is bringing a 350 with 700R4 install and more body restoration for next spring. Cheers from Canada! J
Truck looks great. I love the flat black look. You might want to look into a good flat sealer for the paint though. You don't want all your hard work to rust away. Also don't let Old Man Winter park your ride. I drive my 66 4X2 daily in rain, sleet, snow and lots of ice here in Alaska. Good luck on your project.
