Can anyone explain to me what vacuum is and how it affects the rest of my engine, what does it do. I hear it is from the pull of the intake stroke, is this true?

it is a little flow of air through the vaccum lines it operates a lot of things taht are required on ur engine.... you engine generates this vaccum... so dont pull any vaccum lines unless ur replaceing them or converting it to electric... if someone can explain it better feel free to...

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Sep-10-05 AT 11:39 PM (CST)]I dont know exactly what it does, but I do know that it changes your timing when your engine RPM's increase. It just helps make your engines ignition system more efficient. It is important though, and needs to stay hooked up.
