I'm very proud of the guys because a 31 Model A coupe they did took the Good Guys staff award at last weeks Good Guys show at the Texas Motor Speedway. I go on cruises but never attend car shows since I'm not a sit still in one place type person, especially for four days. This award is special since it is given by professionals that look at literally thousands of vehicles and they can see past glitter or gimicks and examine engineering, design, and skills exibited as well as fit and finish. Once again, it is for THEM not me. They start with chalk marks on the floor and do it all. If it wasn't a darned old F--d I'd post pics but why take a chance on polluting the best forum site on the net.
Hey Evan, Great work is great work and it doesn't matter to me what make it is. The shop you run puts out some of the most amazing work I have ever seen and I haven't even really SEEN it in person. I know a good craftman and a good craftsman's work when I see it and if that Model A makes you proud, I for one would love to see pics of it. Andy
Cool Beans ! Sounds good Evan ; Ya know , I loved A Models when I was a kid , owned four different ones over the years too ~ my '31 Coupe was (IIRC) a # 41-B 5 window with factory rumble seat and roll down rear window . They're pretty good cars , had better than GM build quality when new . I had a '29 Tudor , '30 Fordor , '31 DeLuxe pickup with dual sidemounts and rafts of stainless , I know Henry didn't ever make any DeLuxe commercial cars but some one built my old shop truck out of cherry spare parts , C head , B crank and a Borg Warner overdrive ~ it's cruise @ 80MPH on the freeway and a set of Vintique brake floaters made it stop well too ~ better than Huck brakes even . Well , back to Chevys I guess , I still have a soft spot for the brand 'F' '60 / '61 unibody pickups... esp. with InLine 6 Bangers , three on the tree and overdive .
