While looking up the engine ID info, I noticed that there are 235's and 235 Thriftmaster's. Any difference?
Re:Thriftmaster I'm pretty sure Thriftmaster refers to trucks,so the 235 only designation would refer to a car engine. Hope this helps !
OK, My '55 engine #'s indicate a Thriftmaster, from the documentation. Good, It's a truck engine. Thanks for the Xplanation.
It Means : ' CONGRATULATIONS ! you were smart enough to buy the best , most economical Commercial Vehicle available , your kids kids will be enjoying it long after you're gone ' . CHEVROLET , Americas MOST POPULAR TRUCKS ! .
Chevy engines have been placed in different brand Vehicles for some time, even hot rodders place Chevy engines in Fords, so why not a gmc.
