    This bracket needs to be replaced on my 1955 3100, but can't find one on the web.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

    Assuming your 3100 is a second series '55, the part number for the bracket is 3712398. Chances of finding it as a NOS part are worse than winning the Mega-Millions lottery. Our host shows Axle Bumper-Rear-Classic Chevy Truck Parts to be the correct rubber part.

    Really appreciate the help I've received here.

    OK, now in the process of removing the cab, and I discovered that both lower cowl panels are rusted out. I'll attach a picture. Where is the best place to get these panels?

    Also, the rusted part is right below where the lower door hinge bolts on, is there some mechanical bits that need to be inside the panel?

    Thanks.

    Hi Randal ;

    I no longer remember the company's name but there's an American company that makes repair panels here in America and they're better qulity than the average Taiwanese part .

    I suggest some quality time spent searching .
