I've been tinkering with my 65 longbed fleetside, I just finished installing hooker headers and a new exhaust, so the engine sounds great. I'm a bit concerned with the Spark plug wires being a little close to the headers, my buddy said maybe I should get a set with strait rather than the 90 degree boots and heat shields anyone know of a good set? I want to post some photos, but can only do it as an attachment, can anyone tell me how to put them in the body of the message?

I'm having a problem with the tranny sticking in 2nd gear. I put in a new Hurst shifter which is great when the tranny doesn't stick. The clutch kinda soft too and I'm not happy with the gearing, I think I could pull a house, but there is no power at the top end. Since I'm not planning on towing any houses, and I'd like to unleash some of the V-8 power I've been thinking of replacing the Tranny, maybe going to a 4 speed, but this is getting into new territory, my last truck a 66 which ended up wrapped around a telephone pole, was an automatic, (I'd post pics of her demise if I knew how) Would I be better off starting out with the gears in the rear end? I'm pretty good with keeping the truck running/ maintenance but can anyone recommend a manual/books concerning upgrading my classic to make it more drivable?

Thanks for all of the help on previous questions
