I've seen in J C whitney you can buy a replacement gas tank for blazers from 1973 - 1991. 31 gallon or 25 gallon. has anyone tried one of these? they only cost around $150. much cheeper than companys that build them specifically for this purpose.
Go to Colemans Military Surplus on the web. Give them a call and ask if they still have the Blazer Gas tanks. They were $25.00. I bought one and I think it cost me 45 total.The ##### has the sending unit for $79. I made a frame out of square tubing the tack welded it to the frame in numerous locations. The made Z shaped straps and welded them to the frame, then bolted the whole thing to the truck frame. If you need pics send me your email address. The tank used was the 25 gallon one and it is brand new old stock. I did have to move the cross member thats attached to the shackel hangers and flip the most rear crossmember upside down so the filler will clear. Hope this helps. Ed oh yeah its a 82-87 tank
