So I noticed while tearing apart my '54 (should have noticed it when I bought it) that there is no oil filter at all. In fact there is no sign that there ever was or should be a filter. In looking at all the pictures on the forum here I noticed the straight 6 should have a filter on the driver's side. Does anyone have some good pictures that show the location of this filter and where the inlet and outlet houses get attached to on the side of the engine? If you could post those that would be great. Thank you for your help.

    Thanks for the replies

Thanks guys for the replies and the pics. This will help me figure out where it is supposed to go. Any suggestions though where to buy a stock or at least stock looking oil filter assembly? I don't think our host sells one.

They are all over swap meets. I have seen them in Jim Carter's catalog.
