I hear about people getting their truck "from auction." Where is one?! I want to go check this out. I live in Arlington, TX, but are there only so many in a state or what...I'm confused
It all depends, there are many differnt "auctions". Of course there is Ebaymotors many trucks auction off there. There are police impound auctions. Then there are government auctions, where city, county, state, park service, postal, and federal surplus trucks are auction off. There are dealer auctions open to the public where fleet trucks are auction off. Impound yards have auctions too. I got my truck at a small engine repair facility auction of all places. They were auctioning off old riding mowers that customers traded in, left never paid for. It just so happen that one of the employees decided to auction off his old pickup. I got it or $100 plus $5 auctioneer fee. Replaced exhaust gasket, wiper motor, riveted sheet metal to portion of floor so it pass inspection. Had it two years and have put over 15,000 miles on it. It is a 1980 c10 3spd with 250 inline that gets 16-17 mpg drove again today.
