Should be no problem , The Shaft from the Steering box May be Diferent that bolts to the steering Dampner itself but the Columns are Basiclly the same as far as I know , The only other difference as far as I Know Between 1/2 -3/4 - & 1 ton are the Frame & Chassis .

I Also had a C65 Tandem Dumptruck that Used Exactly the same complete cab & I replaced the steering column in it with a 1/2 ton Column . The biggest difference with it was the tilt front end & I could haul 16 TON . :D . Best of luck. Bob

As said by cb357, the column will fit.

The only physical difference will be if one was tilt and the other was non tilt. The bottoms are the same also. One word of caution, becareful with the firewall rubber gasket/ seal, they are no longer available. If it gets accidently damaged you'll be making a trip to the salvage yard.
