windshield washer question?

Hi

Ive got a 79 stepside and I have a question about the windshield washer pump. When I push the switch to activate the pump it starts but then will not stop until the reservoir is empty. Do I have a faulty switch or is there a problem with the washer pump?

It could be either one but it is usually the switch that is the culprit. It would be cheaper to try the switch first. It could be that the switch is not shuting off which is why your pump runs until it it empty.
