I finally got my 54 3100 where i can now drive it and enjoy the rest of summer. But winter project includes putting differant tranny and rear end under it. Any sugestion on what to go with. I want to keep 235 engine. I know mid 70s nova rear end will work. What tranny could i use that will bolt to my 235. Automatic or stick?
T-5 Maybe? Other than drilling the metric mounting holes out to 1/2", I bolted a T-5 transmission right up to a '61 235. At the other end is an '87 GMC Sierra truck rear axle. Goes down the road just fine!
