Recently bought on classic parts the electric wiper motor.I installed it on my 1952 chevy truck, but I don´t like how the reproduction knob looks(chrome one), because is higher than the original. does someone have any idea to how to put the original wiper knob on, or make a trick with the repro one?
    thanks

Pull origional k ob off of shaft. Drill out to fit new shaft. Drill small hole in front of knob, then tap for small set screw. Fit electric switch in dash with shiny washer drilled out to fit around shaft nut. Put knob on and mark to cut shaft so knob fits nearly flush with shaft nut. Cut switch shaft, then assemble, orienting the set screw with flat spot on shaft. Tighten down and enjoy.
