The wiper motor on my 65 GMC has begun its own method of intermitent action, that is, it stops on its own and begins working again when I turn off the switch and turn it on again. Perhaps a new motor is in order! What are my alternative? Can I go to a junk yard and get a later model replacement or must I replace the motor with a rebuild I can purchase from our host or other parts place?

If the motor is kicking on and off with the switch in the off position it isn't the motor that is doing it. You might have a short somewhere. If it is kicking off and on with the switch in the on position then it might be the motor. To make sure it isn't the motor remove the motor from the truck and then hook it directly to the battery. If it stays on steady then the motor is good. If the motor turns out good look for any splices on your wiring haness and maybe replace the switch. Good luck.
