I have an 86 4x4 silverado. The delay wipers don't work, this in itself doesn't bother me but sometimes the wipers won't come on. Is there a module somewhere, or just a switch? If there is a module where is it and is there a way to test it?

    Thaks,

    Tony

If you remove the lower dash bezel pieces and look directly under the column you will find the delay module. The switch is in the column (connected to the turn signal lever). If you have a multimeter you can try to test it that way, otherwise it might be easier to find a working module/switch and hook it up (before you start pulling apart the column).

I also have that same probem ! I have replaced the wiper switch (lever & wiring harness) and tried another used module and still have the problem, I was told by someone to change out the motor, that there is a switch inside that goes bad. And I only seem to have the problem if it is snowing or raining?

I Have Found That It Usually Is The Switch On The Motor That Ive Had Problems With.
