wireing and gauges

    what do i need to do to switch from dummy light s to gauges. i've got a 1963 that has gauges and i want to put the gauges in my 61. should i use the wiring from the 63 and put it in my 61? thanks for thr help.

    I believe that you will have to change your sender units for the coolant temperature and oil pressure. The ammeter may have a different hookup as well. I would get a new wiring harness from ChevyDuty as well, I never try to rely on the old harnesses. Since you will have the dash cluster out anyway it is always a good idea to change out anything you can back there. It sure beats having to take it all out to replace any wiring back there later. I would also put in all new bulbs for all of the lights as well. It pays to do it right the first time.
