I have a 3100 short bed. Looks and runs great, but the wiring is a mess. Someone converted to 12volt, put a wooden box containing connections under seat. No fuse box and a spiders webb of non color coded wires. I have a new Chevy Duty standard wire harness but not sure thats all I need and what to do about a fuse box. Manules show a box on fire wall?? I want to make things safe and right without spending tons of $. Please any suggestions. I've contacted Painless wire and Factory fit but they both say to convert to morded blade wire/fuse system @ 4 to 500 $'s.
