Have purchased new tail lights w/ 2 single element bulbs, can I make my turn singles work with these and still have running lights and brake lights ?

    wiring tail lamp

Wire the lower bulb to the tail lamp wire and the upper bulb to the stop and turn signal wire. The upper bulb is located by the circle in the lens.

    Yes Bill

But you'll need a _6_ wire turn signal switch ~ old used ones are fine after you patch up the wires or Grote still sells them , model 600 IIRC , DO NOT get the one with a push button in the handle...

If you get a used one there's a wiring diagram in the files section of the home page or you can sort it out with a test light .

You'll need to run one additional wire from the switch to the right rear taillight .

Most folks use the front parklights for the turn signals and don't have parklights , some states with annual safety inspections might not like that .

I got some bulb - in headlights and will use the parklight in the headlight .

Lots of older posts cover this in minute detail ~ find 'em and print 'em out for cheat sheets .
