wood bed on a 85?

    well ive started a small buisness and im still in highschool... i deliver and lay sod and i need a flat bed to do it... ive been usin my long wheel base 85 silverado and have thought about making a flatbed out of wood......

    any ideas on removing the existing bed or trouble i might run in to building this thing

    any advice is welcome!!

    removing the old bed is easy....8 bolts on the bed....remove the gas filler necks...and tail light wiring... than when you build the flat bed it just has to have fenders and taillights...a headache rack would be a good idea as well. i am not sure on the width allowed you would have to check with your motor vehicle branch....the flatbed will also have to have a steel frame to it.....you can probably find some kind of plans on the net.... good luck.
