Since I'm 99% sure on the gasser look I stumbled across a 1955 331 Caddy motor, would this be a good motor to swap the 235 six for? I know nothing about these motors. Just seems like kind of a cool motor for a gasser
These were the first of the modern style GM v8. Very nostalgic engine for the nostalgia buffs. My uncle has one in a 49 Caddy that I have been trying to get off of him. He used to race it back in the day. The 331 doesn't have a water jacket running through the intake, so changing it is a breeze. The one in my uncle's caddy has a single 4 barrell sitting on it, in the back seat is a manifold with 2 4's and one with 3 2's.
It would be a period correct engine for a gasser from back in the day.
