I have a crossmember from a later model (73'-87', I don't know what year) 1 ton truck, it looks to be the same as my 70' 1/2 ton and my roomates 69'3/4 ton. I was wanting to know if anybody knows if they are enterchangeable with each other becuase I'm planing to do a crossmember drop (notching the crossmember to drop it in the framerails more) on them both and if this crossmember works it would save me a lot of down time. I know the control arms are different but they look like they would enterchange from 1/2 ton to 3/4 ton & even maybe 1 ton. If anyone knows anything about changing thes parts over it would help me out a lot.
What are you interchanging it with, putting a 87 crossmember to a 69 or viceversa? As far as the swapping the other stuff, what is what going to? You didn't put what year of truck from what truck to the other truck.
